KM Array
KM Array series is the first model of the new product line by KM PEDALBOARDS. It's a double tier premium line pedalboard inspired by high end pedalboards made in Europe.
KM PEDALBOARDS is a local pedalboard maker in the Philippines specializing in custom wooden boards. They use Narra wood in their builds, which comes from the Narra Tree - the Philippine national tree. You can find them on facebook. Link below.

KM ARRAY || KS CUSTOM
I spent two years researching and cold calling pedalboard makers, furniture makers, and woodworkers across the Philippines. No one wanted to take on this project to build this kind of pedal board... Until one person took a leap of faith.
When I saw his creations, I immediately wanted to try again. The quality looked superb and there were many happy customers to back it up. Within the hour, I received a reply and we started working. He was willing to create the design I held for two years.
He agreed and the rest is history. While the board is beautifully made, the best part was the fun I had going back and forth on design feasibility, parts, hardware, and even the engravings. The attention and care for details was amazing. You can tell there's passion and love behind the crafting.

I wanted a Japanese inspired aesthetic.
So I went for very minimalist design elements. large negative spaces with very focused points of interest.
For the front, I wanted to use Koi fish as a symbol for my musical journey. Koi symbolism reminds me to maintain courage, patience, and aim for success that is achieved through perseverance. And it can't hurt to wish for prosperity and good luck.
instead of dots, I used sakura flowers.

At the back, I wanted to show the logos of both the board builder and my own watermark.
the twist is to have Japanese patterns and the Kanji for "music" to really lock in the theme.
I chose a pattern that evokes the robustness of the musical system but also shows its careful design - which is art in and of itself.

And finally, the pedalboard light from Warwick Rockboard wasn't left untouched. being an integral part of the board functionality, it had to have a spin.
KM Pedalboards happen to do wood toppers for volume or wah pedals. And so I requested for a light topper.
I wanted to mimic the light of the rising sun over the waves. Just as this light will shine over the waves of sounds coming from the pedals. So the design is a sun over famous japanese wave patterns with the kanji for "light"
